Exciting Times, Exciting Changes!
The Cyclone winds of change are blowing in new and exciting developments for the athletic health care department. Thanks to the support of the ISU Athletics Department administration, there will have been more changes and upgrades implemented in personnel, facilities, and services in an 18 month time frame than at all other times of ISU athletics history combined! These changes have/will include:
- Increasing and remodeling athletic health care centers in all ISU athletics facilities.
- Increasing the number of certified/licensed athletic trainers from 4 in 1996 to the current 13.
- Opening of the yet-to-be-named athletic health care center in the summer of 2012. With the opening of this facility, ISU will have over 18,000 sq. ft of athletic health care centers open to serve ISU student-athletes.
- State of the art digital/physical testing equipment for athletic injury rehabilitation, injury prevention, reconditioning, injury diagnosis, and concussion identification/management tools.
